Okay. So, I decided to start with Lumiose City because it’s my favorite city in the X/Y series (Isn’t it everyone’s?). This probably isn’t going to be very helpful, but this site will eventually grow and have more helpful suggestions. I don’t really have any self-esteem anyway. I don’t expect anyone to actually read this…but if you are, thanks. ☻☺☻☺
Hotel Richissime
So, at Hotel Richissime you can do jobs to get Poke Money. For now Poke Money is gonna be this symbol: §. Anyway, you have an option of three jobs: Room Service, Bed Making, and Lost and Found. You can only do these jobs once per day, but sometimes it will say you already did your jobs that day. Just wait a couple of hours or a day or two, and it will let you. Depending on how many jobs you do, your compensation will go up. When you first start, you will get §2000 for each job you do. After you complete 5 perfect jobs, your pay will go up and you will receive §10000 each time. At 15 jobs your pay will be §20000, and at 30 jobs will be §50000. That’s a lot of money! But, those compensations are only if you do the job perfectly. I’ll talk more about that later.
Doing jobs at Hotel Richissime also increases your style. Style enables you to go to certain places like Boutique Couture and Sushi High Roller in Lumiose City. If you don’t have enough style, the lady at Boutique Couture will say, “Oh, you are not as stylish as you could be!” and kick you out. A really cool thing that I found is that if your pay is §50000 at Hotel Richissime and you try to ride a cab in Lumiose City, you only have to pay half the money! For example, the guy will say, “You should have to pay §1500… but since you look so stylish today, let’s just say §750 and call it good!”
Room Service
When you talk to the lady at the counter, you will have the option to do the Room Service job. They will take you to another counter with some guy. The phone will ring and the customer tells you want they want. You have to remember what the customer says and tell the guy so he can call the order in. The number of calls you receive depends on the level you are on (By level I mean when your pay goes up you will receive 1 more call each time you do the job). You can just try to remember what the customer says, if you want, but I usually just take a picture of the screen when they say what they want.
Making Beds
You also have the option to do the Making Beds job. You are taken to either floor 2, 3, 4, or 5, and you have to run to the beds in the rooms and press the A button when you get to the bed. You will be timed, though. You have about a minute to make all the beds on the floor. The time that you have to make all the beds goes down each time your pay goes up.
Lost and Found
In my opinion, this job is the most confusing and frustrating of them all. You have to find lost items in a room. At level 1, you only have to find 1 item in a room. You will see that if an item is nearby, your character will turn their head to look at it. The item will most likely be next to the couches. If you can’t find it anywhere, try the cabinet in the upper right-hand corner. At level 2 you have to find 2 items. They will probably be in the same places as level 1. At level 3, you now have to search the whole floor for your 3 items. DO NOT LOOK IN THE ROOMS. YOU WILL FIND ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. The items will more than likely be in the hallways with the flower pots. At level 4, you have to look in the rooms AND the hallway for the 4 things. Common places are:
- Next to the couches and tables in the living room
- In the narrow space next to the entrance of a room with the brown cabinets
- In front of the toilet seats
- In the area next to the elevator and the lady
- Around the table with 2 chairs next to the bed
I hope this helped, because lots of people, including me, get super frustrated with the Lost and Found job.
Perfection
No, I didn’t forget. The compensations I listed were only given to you if you did the job perfectly. When a job ends and you are back at the lady at the counter on the 1st floor, she will say, “your job performance today was… perfect!” or “Pretty good” or “Well, try harder next time”. This affects how much money you get for that job.
In the Room Service job, if you get 1 order wrong, you will probably get not even half the money you would get if you did the job perfectly. If you get more than 1 order wrong, you will get about a quarter of the money.
In the Making Beds job, your performance will be considered perfect if you make all the beds on the floor within the time limit the guy gives you before you start WITH 5 SECONDS TO SPARE. If you have less than 5 seconds to spare, you will get “pretty good” as your job review. If you get more than the time limit, the lady will say try harder next time.
With the Lost and Found job, at either level 1, 2, or 3, when you step on an item it won’t shatter, but will have a crack. This counts as “Pretty good”. If you step on it twice, it will shatter and the lady will say try harder. But, at level 4, the item will shatter if you step on it only once. So, basically, I don’t think you can you can get “Pretty good” at level 4 because shattering an object means you have to try harder next time. Also, if you talk to the lady during the job and leave, the lady at the counter says try harder.
So, I hope this post was helpful to you. Thank you so much for reading this, and have a nice day. ☺☻☺☻
